Although it is preferred, you do not need to schedule an appointment.
For the purpose of CA DMV vehicle registration renewal, automobiles 8 years and older require a smog inspection every two years. Your DMV vehicle registration renewal notice will show the requirement.
Depending on whether the tickets or toll road violations have been recorded with the DMV. If they have, we may renew your vehicle's registration but only if you pay the parking or toll tickets at the same time.
